Casio Vintage watches in Sri Lanka

A158 — the small square. A 33 mm steel case, the narrowest of the three. It reads as a genuinely small watch on the wrist, which is the point: this is the shape Casio sold in the mid-1980s, kept more or less unchanged. Stopwatch, alarm, and a backlight on later units.

A168 — the same idea, larger and with a lit display.36 mm, and the one most people picture when they say “Casio vintage”. The gold-tone version is the same watch with a plated finish, and it costs noticeably more than the silver for that reason alone — the movement inside is identical.

LA670 — the ladies' size. A 24.6 mm case, sold in silver and gold-tone. Same square digital layout, scaled down. If you are buying for a small wrist this is the one to look at rather than sizing down within the A158 family, which does not go smaller.

Water resistance is limited across the whole line. These are day-to-day watches. Splashes and rain are fine; swimming is not what they were built for. If you want something you can take into the sea, look at our water resistance guide instead — the sports models are a better fit.

The steel bracelets are folded, not solid. That is original to the design and keeps the watch light, but it does mean the bracelet feels less substantial than the price might suggest. It is not a fault and it is not a sign of a copy.

Gold-tone is plated. It will wear at the edges over years of daily use, particularly on the clasp. Nothing to be done about it — worth knowing so it is not a surprise later.
